This week is just a very big week for One Direction isn't it? After releasing their newest single "Best Song Ever" and the awesome music video to go along with it, it was announced by VEVO today (July 23) that the boys broke the record for the most views in 24 hours. The great news comes on the three year anniversary of the band.
".@OneDirection views on VEVO.com, VEVO apps, Xbox, Roku, YouTube + added up to a WHOPPING 12.3M VIEWS in 24hrs! #BSEVEVORECORD," VEVO tweeted after getting all the views added up.
"Wow ! You guys broke the vevo 24 hour record! Wow! Thank you so much! Love you lots! #BestSongEver," Niall tweeted after he got the news.
This new record beats the previous record set by Miley Cyrus and her song "We Can't Stop" just last month with 10.7 million views. Previously Justin Bieber held the record for "Beauty and a Beat."
In case you wanted to do the Leeroy shimmy again, here's the music video for "Best Song Ever."
