There's only two more episodes left of this season of Glee, now hot off the heals of being renewed for two more seasons, showrunner Ryan Murphy is setting the stage for his previously promised cliffhanger and big changes. Chord Overstreet (Sam), who plays a key role in the series and within New Directions, talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what we can expect as Glee comes to a close for this season.
Among the differences this year is that this year the end of the season leads up to Regionals the other half the year will take place in season five.
"The final two episodes are more toward gearing up for Regionals," Chord said. "The school year is half this year and the other half next year. The season finale is more of a midpoint storyline. This season has been more of a journey and emotional roller coaster and one that needed more time."
Among the storylines that will be solved by the end of the season is the mystery of who's "catfishing" Ryder. And although that will provide plenty of must-see, dramatic moments. That's not the only thing going down in the last two episodes of the season.
"There's a cliffhanger with Blaine which is pretty interesting, and another cliffhanger with a few other characters that are going to leave people wondering what's next," Chord continued. "It's one of those finales that's going to be picked right up when season five begins."
But what's next for his character? Chord says he really has no idea. "I don't know what's coming next for Sam, it could be anything," he said. "We'll get into all that next season."
Sounds like Glee is going be really heating up in the final two episodes and into next season! What are you hoping to see?
