Hey everyone, I'm Gigi here with your Gleeview! Okay, so I don't know about you guys, but the Glee hiatus was WAY longer than I wanted. But Thursday's episode almost made up for my withdrawals.
The show starts with Sam talking with Blaine accusing the Warblers of cheating at Sectionals (he's convinced they couldn't really have been doing all of the flips ad tricks that they did.) and when Blaine is skeptical Sam decides he'll find proof.
Then we're in a classroom where a student council meeting is trying to take place. I say trying because the meeting is forgotten once Tina suggests the school hosts a Sadie Hawkins dance (which she got the idea for during a meeting of her "Too Young to be Bitter" club) Blaine is unsure at first but seeing everyone else so on board he agrees.
Meanwhile it's Kurt's first week at NYADA and he's realizing that college looks a lot like high school...and his social standing hasn't changed. Because Rachel is always helping Brody, Kurt decides he needs to join a club to make new friends. A show choir group called the Adam's Apples catches his eye.

Back at McKinley the boys feel powerless to the girls as they just go around waiting for a girl to ask them to the dance. Finn, happy that the New Directions haven't disbanded, is stuck as to what he should do next for the group. Coach Beiste gives him the idea to use the Sadie Hawkins dance as inspiration. So he gives the glee club their assignment: the girls choose songs to sing to the guy she wants to go to the dance with.
Tina performs first with "I Don't Know How To Love Him" from the Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Artie assumes it's about him, but man was he wrong. When her song ends she asks BLAINE of all people to be her date. Awestruck and confused Blaine declines her offer.

At NYADA Kurt is seriously contemplating joining Adam's Apples when he meets the-very good looking-founder of the group (yes, his name's Adam). Adam convinces Kurt to just watch them perform. He agrees and watches their very strange and fun rendition of "Baby Got Back".
Then we're back in Lima, Ohio where Marley asks Brittany for help to ask Jake to the Sadie Hawkins dance because things have been a little off for the two of them since her fall at Sectionals. So Marley and Brittany, along with the other girls of the glee club sing the Exciters classic "Tell Him" Afterwards, Marley asks Jake and Brittany asks Sam.
Just when things seem to be going right, Kitty comes in and tries to make it wrong. She confronts Jake and tells him to blow Marley off and go with her to the dance instead. She appeals to his masculine side and leaves him conflicted.
Tina finds Blaine at his locker to apologize for asking him to the dance, remembering he had a traumatic experience at a Sadie Hawkins dance. Blaine reveals that his past was not the reason for his rejection, but because he has a crush on someone else-Sam. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, the friends decide to go to the dance as friends and just enjoy themselves.
Jake asks his older brother for advice on what to do about his Marley/Kitty dilemma, and Puck advises him to stay with Marley if he really cares about her, and says he'll take care of Kitty. When Puck goes to confront the "Jesus loving little devil," she agrees to back off his little brother if he agrees to be her date to Sadie Hawkins-he agrees.
And then we're back in the Big Apple where Rachel and Kurt are talking about finding love in the city. Kurt that he has his eye on someone but won't give Rachel his name just yet in fear of jinxing it. Rachel advises that if he wants this guy, then he should seize the moment and ask him out.
At the Sadie Hawkins dance, the boys of the glee club get things started with an awesome version of TLC's smash hit "No Scrubs". Then Marley asks Jake to make a commitment if he wants their relationship to go anywhere, but then leaves before he can say anything. Meanwhile there are a bunch of girls siting on the sidelines and Coach Beiste gives them the pep talk they need to go for what they want. While these girls are asking guys to dance, Kurt is taking Rachel's advice to ask Adam out. It's a win-win situation for all when "Yes" is the answer everyone receives. Blaine and Tina are enjoying each other's company and just when Tina thinks there might be a spark between them, Sam rushes in excitedly about the Warblers cheating scandal he thinks is being unveiled and Blaine is whisked away leaving Tina alone just before she, Marley, Brittany, Unique and Sugar took the stage to perform the newest Bruno Mars song, "Locked Out of Heaven".
Sam and Blaine meet with Finn in the locker room (because remember...Sue stole their room) to show him pictures and video of Hunter Clarington that suggest performance enhancing drugs might have been in his system. When Finn says he needs more solid proof, Trent, a Warbler who joined the Warblers with Blaine came in and confirmed that the Warblers (aside from him-he refused) had been using drugs to enhance their performances, which is against show choir policy. The three of them ask Trent if he would testify against the Warblers if they pursued the case, and he was unsure.
While things may be looking up for the New Directions, Rachel is at her apartment waiting for Brody-who's 45 minutes late for their date. She is incredibly upset but only for a moment after Brody explains that his train was late, but would have waited a lifetime if it meant that train was taking him to Rachel. The couple then proceeds to dance to no music.
Over at Sadie Hawkins, Blaine reunites with his date just before the final dance which is to Ryder crooning "I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingos. Insert swoon here.
The dance is ending in Lima, but in NYC, after their romantic little dance, Brody decides to look for an apartment near by, but Rachel suggests he move in with her (without even asking Kurt, I might add.)
During the next meeting of the Too Young to be Bitter club, the members discuss their re-found confidence after the dance and disband the club.
Great. Now we have to wait another week until the next episode. Until then, I'll be on iTunes buying the songs from Thursday's episode...
