Nice to see you again Gleeks! Heres our second installment of Gleeview (our Glee-review ;) on this weeks episode! Enjoy!
The first performance of the night was lead by Brittany in an epic dance number with the Cheerios. With her new second in command (who later takes her position as head Cheerio) Kitty the dancing was perfect as always. Her voice is great for Britney Spears songs and Hold It Against Me was no exception. Next up was Blaine and Artie singing Britney's Boys mixed in with Justin Bieber's Boyfriend. Although I felt the song choice could have been better the harmonies between the two were great and seldom heard before. Id like a repeat of this pairing for future duets as well as hear them sing together in larger group numbers. Followed by the glee girls (and other "womanized" girls) doing Womanizer by Britney. The girls going all over the school following Jacob (a new member of the glee club and an already notorious womanizer) and as new voices were added it sounded fantastic and very different. Closely after was Sam, Tina and Joe's cover of 3., a very interesting version of the song. I liked it but Britney acoustic never really works for me. The "I don't love Britney acoustic" came up again with Jacob and Marley's version of You Drive Me Crazy. I like their voices together but I just don't want to hear songs that should not be acoustic made acoustic. Rachel's version of Oops I Did It Again (dancing with her friend Brody) was absolutely perfect. The addition of the NYADA dancers from her class was amazing and it was the best song she could have chosen. Jake met his brother Noah Puckerman (finally) in a scene that needed to happen, but it had no song. Hopefully we will get a Puckerman brother duet later in the season. Next up was a lip synced AWFUL performance by the entire glee club. I truly hope it is never ever repeated. The final song of the episode was Marley's version of Everytime, which was a very "Rachel" version of the song and honestly it was amazing.
Thanks for reading Gleeks! See you back soon!
