Sounds like SOME Beliebers need to take a chill pill. A few of Justin Bieber's fans have attacked the Thirst Project, a organization that provides clean safe drinking water to impoverished people in places like Swaziland.
According to a report by The Huffington Post, The hate tweets were coming in at a rapid 20 per minute clogging all other activity on their twitter feed. "@ThirstProject LMFAO No one likes you!" one user wrote, "@ThirstProject You are retarded f*** you Dreke" another wrote, and then one fan even wrote this: "@DrakeBell @ThirstProject Who wants to help those jungle bunnies anyway?"
The hate tweets started rolling in after they launched a Twitter raffle campaign to raise money to build more wells in Africa. The winner of the raffle will receive an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to attend the annual Thirst Project fundraiser and meet their celebrity supporters. One of these is Drake Bell, the star of Nickelodeon's show Drake and Josh in the mid-2000's. Drake loves the Thirst Project and was happy to help become the face of the campaign.
Drake and Beliebers have had quite the history after Drake announced on Twitter that he wasn't a fan of the teen pop-star or his documentary, Never Say Never. The feud had never really settled down as Drake still receives many hate tweets from Beliebers every day.
The companies founder and director, Seth Maxwell, had this to say in a statement posted on The Huffington Post:

"The thing that makes my heart sad about all of this, is that Justin can take care of himself, but these kids in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia can't. If Justin Bieber's fans put as much energy into helping us end the water crisis or something positive, we could do something incredible. Instead, they looked at something good and beautiful and pure and tried to tear it down in the name of one boy who they have decided is worth more than the lives of the thousands of children in need. I know Justin Bieber been supportive of numerous charities in the past (some of which even include clean water initiatives), so I cannot allow myself to believe that the actions of his fan base are representative of his character, but I do wish he would help stop this and make it right. It's been 10 days since the Campaign launched, and the tweets have finally almost stopped completely, but the damage was done. For days our charity's twitter was hijacked and anyone who searched for us was met with gross language that I can only imagine what impression it left them with.Justin Bieber, I know you must be such a better person than this reflects. If you can hear me out there, then on behalf of the nearly 1 billion people without clean water, and on behalf of the thousands of students who have given of themselves so generously to build our organization so far, I'm asking for your help."
What do you think of all this? Should Justin step in and try to help? Would it even make a difference?
