Liam Payne is quickly making a name for himself as an artist outside of the work he does with One Direction. Not only is he responsible for writing of the majority of songs on One Direction's upcoming third album with Louis, but as I told you a few weeks ago, he met up with Pharrell for a little studio session in LA. Now he has revealed he has also recorded with Miguel while he was "really, really drunk."
"I was really drunk in the studio recently. I met Miguel. I think he’s so good, we got on and so he said, ‘Come to the studio’. We did a track together but I was really, really drunk," Liam told The Sun. "I went to see him the next day and had to ask him to tell me what kind of things I was saying."
Turns out that even while drunk, Liam's talents shine through because he said the song actually turned out really good. He said: "But as for the song, I want to try and give it to someone because I think it’s a really good dance song."
"Don’t worry, I’ve listened to it sober," Liam added while laughing.
Liam has dropped the whole "Captain Sensible" nickname thing in recent months saying that he's now loosened up a bit and is trying to have fun and enjoy his life.
"Let's just say I haven't been keeping up the Gary Barlow persona, I've let loose," he said. "It's a new dawn for Liam. I'm having a laugh now. I've let loose in the sense that I haven't got that much to worry about any more."
"I'm still quite mature but whether I'm sensible I'm not so sure," he continued. "The first year or so, I used to just get up, go to work, go to the hotel and go to the gym and that was it. But I'm up for it now."
Good for you, Liam! And we better hear this Miguel track sometime!
