After having a debut album go to #1 in countries around the world, breaking several music records, winning awards, taking over America, and more - that's a whole lotta pressure to live up to on a sophomore album. However, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson feels the band is up for the challenge.
"Obviously, we were very lucky with the first album and the success it had. It was amazing, but hard to believe," Louis said about the album recently. "But although it’s incredibly exciting, it also means we’re feeling the pressure because of the expectations that come with success and trying to match that."
And it sounds like Louis hasn't let all of the success go to his head: "It’s very important that we don’t let these incredible achievements affect us or make us complacent," he says. "We’ve got to build on that success and get better."

And get better they did, the boys were able to be much more involved with the album making this time around. They were involved in picking the songs for the album, writing a few tracks, and even playing instruments in the background.

"It’s important for us to put as much of ourselves into the band as we can, so that’s why we’ve written a few songs on the new album. We tried doing that with the first album too; we tried to contribute as much as we could and be ourselves as much as possible but obviously that was hard because we were new to things and not sure how the whole recording process worked," Louis said.
"With the new album, there’s definitely more of ourselves on it, because not only have we written some songs, but we understood the process a bit better, so we felt more comfortable in terms of recording the album."
There's no doubt in our minds that Take Me Home will live up to the high expectations and be another huge hit for the 1D boys!
