Why can't we all be friends? We at Hit Zone hate see seeing all the comparisons being made between two of the biggest bands in the world, One Direction and The Wanted, especially since their music styles are so different. Like not even remotely similar...in the least bit. And that's what we love about both bands.
But hey apparently these guys are sick of it also. Tom Parker of The Wanted recently talked to Showbiz 411 about the comparisons that are always being made by the media between One Direction and The Wanted.

“We don’t see each other that much but there are no problems there,” he said.
“I think there’ll always be that comparison with ‘this person said this, and this person from that band…’. There was that with N'Sync and The Backstreet Boys, and we just take the banter on the chin.”
Tom even went on to say that he thinks The Wanted would be more successful if it wasn't for the boys of 1D: “It is true, it is true," he said. "We probably would be bigger if it wasn’t for them, but it’s fine.”
It's OK Tom - we think The Wanted is pretty big anyway, not to mention pretty fricken awesome.

Tom also lashed out on Twitter a few weeks ago over his disappointment that the band were snubbed for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards. The boy band received no nominations for this year's EMAs unlike One Direction, despite also taking over America earlier this year.
"I think it's bulls**t that we weren't nominated for an EMA this year!!!" he tweeted. Later adding: "Maybe next year x"
If that wasn't enough, it looks like the One Direction boys are sick of being trash talked by The Wanted in the media and sick of all the comparisons also.
Liam Payne of 1D recently mentioned The Wanted in his interview with Fabulous Magazine saying: "I don't think there's any real competition between us. They sing dance music. They're real lads' lads, whereas we're just mischievous, which I think is different."

He later went on to say how One Direction has never said anything bad about The Wanted. "The only thing bad for me about them is actually they were really nice to our faces, but when it came to talking to the media they were really trashy about us. We'd never done anything wrong, we were just running around doing our thing. We'd never purposely talk trash about anyone and we still haven't said anything about them now."
We're just gonna choose to believe that all the boys are good friends and that all this talk is simply just friendly competition between two of the biggest bands in the world. Who knows maybe someday they'll both pull a NKOTBBSB and tour together. Hmmm....TW1D? Sounds good to us!
For now though, we say - let's just enjoy both bands for their unique, individual sounds. And let's stop the comparisons shall we?
