Taylor Swift gave a preview of her new song "Begin Again" during an appearance on Good Morning America this morning (September 24).
The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" star introduced the track saying it was based on the fallout from a "really bad relationship" and eventually going on a first date. The song is from her upcoming album Red and the star will be previewing a new song on GMA every Monday.
Swift was in Las Vegas over the weekend for the iHeartRadio Music Festival and while there she talked to Billboard who got her to talk about the inspiration behind her first ever #1 single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." "It's a song that just kind of happened, I was in the studio, and this guy who walked in was a friend of my ex's. And he made some comment about how he heard how I was gonna get back together with my ex. And after he left I was talking to Max [Martin] and Shellback [the song's co-writers and producers] and was like, 'we are never ever getting back together!' And after that happened I just grabbed my guitar."
