After last week's shocking elimination which saw Adam lose two of his three contestants, it was more important than ever for the top 6 to bring their A game for both of their performances on The Voice Monday night. Each contestant performed a song that they picked and a song that the coach picked for them.
At the beginning of the show Carson Daly announced that only one contestant would be going home in Tuesday night's elimination show meaning that 5 contestants will move on to the semi-finals next week.

Singer: Holly Tucker (Team Blake)
Song: "When God-Fearin' Women Get the Blues" by Martina McBride (Blake's Pick)
Thoughts: Usher said that the attitude was definitely there and said it was a "good" performance but said that he wanted to see a bit more. Shakira said her powerful voice showed through the performance. Adam said that he's seen a new "character" emerge from her over the show this season. Blake went on record saying that it was by far his favorite performance from her adding that it was "strong and full of energy."

Thoughts: Shakira called her and Usher "the perfect fit" and complimented her progress throughout the show and that she's done a terrific show. Adam added on that by saying how cool it is to see her "carve her spot" in the industry and on the show. Usher also agreed with what they said and thought it was a great performance that showed her vocal ability and showed her talent.

Thoughts: Shakira described it as fun and loose and said that she's been feeling inspired by country music and thinks country music has really been crossing over into mainstream lately because of talented artists like them. Adam agreed saying that it was his favorite performance from the duo. Blake said it's always nerve-wracking to do a 'current' song but said they delivered because they got such a unique sound that nobody else can match.

Adam said that he still wishes she was on his team and that every performance is solid and that she's one of the best on the show. Usher said she succeeded the goal of the performance which was to see Michelle as a real artist with her band and everything and he loved the performance.
