Let's dive into night two of the live playoffs that brought us the talent of Team Cee Lo and Team Christina. Similar to what Adam & Blake's teams did on Monday, the two teams kicked off the show with a joint performance of "Sing."
We'll start off by recapping Team Christina, starting with Devyn DeLoera and her powerful performance of Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" that the coaches loved. Adrianna Louise then continued to wow the coaches with her performance of "Firework" by Katy Perry. Adam called it incredible because the song is a “total bitch” to sing. Christina then complimented her on her personality and agreed with Adam about the song calling her a “total star.”
Sylvia Yacoub kept it in the Katy Perry family with a performance of Katy's hit song "The One That Got Away." Meanwhile De’borah performed P!nk's "Who Knew" and put her own little spin on it. Christina called her a one of a kind and said nobody can compare. Last but not least, the "dreamy" Dez Duron who sang directly to his target audience with his performance of "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes. Adam and Blake said he has a really great voice and would like to see him breakout even more. Christina stood up and said he nailed it and said he’s improved a lot calling him the "full package."
Onto Team Cee-Lo's performances! Diego Val sang "Bailamos," a performance that both Adam and Christina both agreed that he wasn’t 100% confident behind and into the song choice but a good performance nonetheless. Cody Belew then wowed all the coaches with his performance of George Michael's "One More Try." Adam said it made him a believer. Blake said that he’s become one of his wives favorites and called it his best performance yet. Christina said she can’t help but smile when he performs. Cee Lo agreed saying he looked like a seasoned professional.
Elsewhere on Team Cee-Lo, Trevin Hunte made Laura Branigan's "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" his own in his performance and Nicholas David took on "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" by Barry White. Then MacKenzie Bourge made One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" all his own. Adam called him “free and adorable” and said it felt like he took the song back to the 50’s. Blake said he thinks he’s one of the most popular people in the competition and if he plays the song choices correctly he could go far, but Christina would like to see him do something older and out of his comfort zone in the future.
Tune in TONIGHT at 8/7c on NBC for the results of the live playoffs and see who moves on and who goes on!
