The Wanted have further explained their plans to release two albums this year. The UK band, who won 'Favorite Breakout Artist' at the People's Choice Awards last night (January 9), recently said that they might drop one album in April and another toward the end of the year.
"We actually held off on this year's album, which the record label were kind of upset about, but the quality wasn't there," Jay said at the People's Choice Awards. "We wanted it to be good, not just release it."
"So we kept on writing this whole year and never released anything, apart from a few singles. And we just found now we have quite a lot of material and we've got more writing to come."
He added: "We just said to the fans, 'You've waited a long time for another album, so just so you know, there's a chance there's two this year'."

The band is also pretty excited for the future: "At the minute, America seems quite enamoured with boybands, so that's quite nice," Jay continued. "But we've known each other since 2009. Right now it feels like instant success - people think that isn't going to last - but we've been doing it for a long time."
Meanwhile they all laughed off suggestions that they would be interested in going solo in the future, with Tom saying: "We're happy with what we're doing at the moment. You can never say never, but I think we're all very comfortable in the band and we all get on with each other."
"And I'd find being a solo artist boring! I like being with you four idiots."
