Siva Kaneswaran of The Wanted has admitted he and the boys have some fears about band mate Nathan Sykes' voice recovery. The singer recently underwent vocal surgery for a developing haemorrhaging nodule on his vocal cord and has had to take an unforeseen hiatus from the group as he recovers.
"It takes a long time for the vocal cords to heal properly," Siva Kaneswaran told BBC Newsbeat. "If it doesn't heal in a certain way, it's going to take a lot longer."
"He might not be able to sing at all, who knows? You've just got to wait and see," he continued. "Luckily we had a lot of these songs recorded before but there have been a few songs that have come in."
The Wanted's latest single, "Walks Like Rihanna," was one of the last songs that Nathan got to record with the group before having surgery on his 20th birthday.

"You can obviously hear in his voice something is difficult," Siva added. "All the other tracks we did after that he wasn't able to record and it's been quite difficult for him."
"What else can we do? You can't just click your fingers and bring the voice back, you got to just work with it."
"Our love goes with him and hopefully he will recover," he concluded.
Our thoughts here at Hit Zone are with Nathan and we certainly hope he can get back to work soon! The Wanted just isn't the same without him.
