Hey guys! I'm back to give you a heads up on what went down on last night's X Factor Live Shows.
First of all, last week Teens judge Britney Spears let Diamond White go-which freaked me out. Well, I wasn't the only one who had a bad feeling about that. Diamond was brought back last night as the 13th contender!
The theme last night was "Music from the Movies". The show started off with Arin Ray. Now, although I think he was way better this week, I still don't think he reached his full potential with his rendition of "American Boy." His song choice rubbed me the wrong way, but it was a decent performance. Next was Paige Thomas from Demi’s Young Adults. Performance wise, there way too much going on onstage, I think. I took me away from what Paige was doing (although the flying into was pretty cool.) Vocally, Paige always delivers. She really did “Take my breath away” (yes. I did just use that pun ;))

Vino Alan…this guy is just incredible. Like, there isn’t anything else to say other than that he’s amazing. He made me fall in love with “When a Man Loves a Woman” all over again. Can’t wait to hear more from him! Simon’s non-boyband Emblem3 was up next. As soon as I heard the first notes of “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction, I thought “oh, here we go…” and then it’s MY GIRL. Now, I’m big on Motown so that was hue for me. BUT THEN CALIFORNIA GIRLS?! The performance was sick-in the best possible way. I thought that was very clever of Simon to do. One of my favorite performances of the night.
Beatrice Miller sang “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. This was tricky, and I know I’m not going to be liked for this, but I wasn’t feeling it. That song is such an emotionally stirring song, and I just didn’t feel anything from her performance.
Jennel Garcia took on Joan Jett’s classic “I Love Rock and Roll.” I thought it was a perfect song choice…but the performance was not what I had hoped. I saw someone trying to impersonate Joan, not Jennel Garcia. She did well, don’t get me wrong, I just thing Demi didn’t make the best decision with that.
Okay, so I wasn’t a fan of Tate Stevens until last night. Sure, I thought he was talented, no doubt But his version of “Dead or Alive,” I feel like I saw him for the first time. Very happy with that performance.
By far, my favorite performance of the night-Lyric 145’s “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” It was brilliant. I can’t tell you how many times I rewound to see that performance. And I’m so critical when it comes to Disney songs because I’m such a Disney fan. I can’t find one negative thing about that performance.

Diamond White is ridiculously talented. Her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Won’t Change My Colors For You” was beautifully done. It was more than worth it to have her back.
CECE Frey, I only have one word for: FIERCE. I thought her vocals were a bit off, but that didn’t even take away from the performance because the entire thing was just that good.
“It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars was sung by Carly Rose Sonenclar. That girl has so much soul and so much talent, it is literally hard for me to believe-she’s a gem. Her performance was so simple, yet effective. Incredibly well done.

Jason Brock did R. Kelley’s iconic “I Believe I Can Fly,” which is a song I would have chosen for I, just…not in the way it was done. I agreed with the judges on this one-it felt cabaret-ish. That sucks because I know he’s capable of so much more than that. I really hope he comes back stronger if he makes it past tomorrow’s eliminations.
And last, but certainly not least…at first they were LYLAS, then they were 1432, and now, after asking America, their new name is…Fifth Harmony! Not only do I love the name, I also loved their performance. I thought they took “A Thousand Years” and made it their own.
