Hey HitZone readers! For those of you who are new, welcome! I'm Gigi and I'm here to give you the heads up on what goes down on the X Factor Season 2!
Last night marked a very important night-the TOP 12 competed for your votes! The theme? Divas!
Up first was Jennel Garcia whose had a few rough comments since the live shows began. However, her performance of Tina Turner's "Proud Mary" turned everyone into believers! It was the perfect starter for the show. Welcome back, Jennel!

Next, last week's leaderboard champion Tate Stevens took the stage with a romantic serenade for his wife with "From This Moment" by Shania Twain. (Was it just me, or did everyone swoon?)
Diamond White was up next. First of all, let me just say that I think she's a mini-diva all on her own. Her performance of "Halo," was just as beautiful as Beyonce's original.
Beatrice Miller sang Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." I know she's super talented at such a young age but I just can't seem to get into her performances. I still think she was better than last week but I'm still not seeing it.
Lyric 145-I was so excited to see what they were going to do tonight because of how well they did last week. However, I was left wanting more from their mash-up of Katy Perry's "E.T." and Queen's "We Will Rock You."

Arin Rey's rendition of Madonna's "Crazy For You" could have been so much better. He looked bored, and didn't make me want to be watching him, I just hope he'll bring his charm and swagger back if he's back next week.
Paige Thomas blew me away with her rendition of Donna Sommers' smash "Last Dance." She was a bit shaky, but such a remarkable improvement from last week. Great job.
Fifth Harmony did Mariah Carey's "Hero." I'm still speechless. They were INCREDIBLE. I didn't see them as contenders in the competition but now I totally do.

As soon as I heard Britney chose "My Heart Will Go On" for Carly Rose Sonenclar, I froze. I hoped she'd be able to handle it-and she didn't disappoint in the slightest. By far my favorite performance of the entire night.
Vino Alan's performance of "Let's Stay Together" made me tear up. I love that song so ridiculously much, and he did Al Green SO much justice. I have no words.
Next to perform were the three best friends from Cali, Emblem 3. They sang "No One" by Alicia Keys. These guys just keep getting better and better every week. I just love them.
Last performance of the night was CECE Frey. She sang "All By Myself" by Celine Dion. Her vocals were amazing, and I think she put herself back into the competition with that song.
