Union J was eliminated from The X-Factor UK over the weekend. When eliminated their mentor Louis Walsh declared them the "next big boy band," as he did nearly every week throughout the competition. But they say don't start making those comparisons quite yet.
"We don't have the record sales and the millions of fans," band member Josh Cuthbert told Digital Spy. "You can't even compare us to One Direction, they've done so well. We've got to concentrate on getting the first song right."
Their manager, Blair Dreelan, had the same type of mindset. Speaking with Sugarscape, he said: "I can understand the comparison of One Direction and Union J because of the types of band they are."
"At the end of the day the fans have got to go with where their heart is," he said. "I understand that everybody has a loyalty ethic but this is not a war, this is music."

Isn't that one of the truest things you've ever heard? Unfortunately not everybody has that same common sense way of thinking when it comes to music.
Mr. Dreelan goes on to speak more truth: "You don’t compare One Direction to Jessie J because she’s a female solo artist – at the end of the day she’s still singing pop records. You know the boys are going to come out and do pop records. You either like them or you don’t like them, that’s how it works with everything really."
But when asked if they will be the next One Direction or The Wanted, he simply replied: "No, I don't think that's going to happen."
Well the boy band market is pretty full right now and only the best will survive. Do you think Union J has what it takes to become a worldwide success?
