Ed Sheeran is currently working on his second album, the follow up to 2011's '+', but he's hinted that fans might not have to wait as long for his third album...or his fourth. That's because Ed says he hopes to release three albums in three years.
"I've demoed 70 songs," the Ed told Rolling Stone recently. "I'm hoping to release three [albums] in three years."
Ed has also revealed that he's been busy in the studio working with legendary producer Rick Rubin for his new album and talked about what the experience has been like.
"Rick had an idea of me recording it completely acoustic and then adding [instrumentation later]," Ed said. "There are just so many tunes and so many directions to go with the album that I don't really know."
Ed also said that there likely won't be any collaborations with any of his famous friends on the album, but says that there will be a few collaborations, such as Irish singer/songwriter Foy Vance, who has helped write about six songs so far for the album.
