Taylor Swift caused a bit of a stir at the VMA's last Sunday, when while One Direction, and her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, presented the award for Best Pop Video, she was seen saying what appeared to be "Shut the f--- up" to her BFF Selena Gomez.
Many people quickly caught what Taylor had said, and claimed it was directed at Harry Styles. Taylor later claimed she was saying "Sorry for my arm", but not many people believed her.
Luckily Swift's good friend Ed Sheeran cleared up the matter. In a Q&A during a meet and greet, Sheeran claimed that yes, Swift had said "Shut the f--- up", but it was not directed at Harry Styles. Claiming she was saying it to her friend Selena, who was doubting she would win the award she was nominated for.
"[Taylor] rung me straight afterward and she was like, 'I think I've messed up,' " Sheeran said. "Selena said to her, 'I think Miley's going to win the award over me,' and then Taylor said, 'Oh, shut the f--- up.' And that's what that was."
