Conor Maynard has responded to comparisons towards Justin Bieber and other similar artists as he prepares to release his album, Contrast, in the United States. The "Vegas Girl" star says he's aiming to "unique" and doesn't want to "be the next anyone."
"I don't want to be the next anyone," Conor told MTV News recently. "I want to be the first Conor Maynard."
"I think I want to have a successful career that is unique in its own way," Conor continued, talking about comparisons to Justin Bieber. "There isn't really anyone out there where I'm like, 'Yeah I want to do it like they've done.'"
"I think I kind of want to get to a point of being as successful as possible in a way that's unique to me," Conor added.
Conor's album, Contrast, hits stores in the US this Tuesday (January 8).
