Justin Bieber says he's focused on staying on staying at the top of the music industry for as long as he can and doesn't want to be another teen idol who get "full of themselves" and lose their fame.
‘In what I wanted to do in music I’ve never had any fear. But now I’m at the top there’s nowhere to go but down; for me it’s about staying standing at the top," Justin told the UK's Daily Mail this week.
"I look at Justin Timberlake and Usher and see how they crossed over really successfully," he continued. "I've seen people go off at the deep end, get full of themselves, think they're the best and end up not being anything. I've worked way too hard for that."
"I definitely don't want to be just another teen heart-throb," the "As Long As You Love Me" star explained. "But there are different ways of growing.
Justin says that he plans on maturing and growing with music and acting and says that his next album will be even edgier than Believe.
"I'm going to change and grow though my music and doing films," Justin revealed. "This album was different. My next album will be even edgier."
But if you think that means going with explicit lyrics, Justin says no way: "my music is never going to have swear words in it. Never."
There you have it. Do you think the Biebs has what it takes to last in the music industry?
