A few days ago we posted about how Liam of One Direction and Tom of The Wanted are sick of the comparisons between the two band's and turns out even Big Time Rush aren't fans of the comparisons either.
In a recent interview with Cambio, Kendall Schmidt was asked about comparisions between BTR and One Direction, more specifically about the 'similarities' between BTR's "Windows Down" video and 1D's video for "Live While We're Young." When asked if he thinks 1D borrowed any ideas from them he says "absolutely."
"They're on the same record label, and I guarantee you the record label liked our idea and expanded upon it," Kendall said. "I saw the video. I love the guys [in One Direction]. Sometimes it is difficult, because we are on the same label, so we always have to go out of our way to work harder, dance more, sing more and keep ourselves out there."
Although the videos are somewhat similar concepts, they're both unique music videos with their own look and feel, much like the two bands in general.

"I think the thing that we have is that we are our own original thing. Yeah, we dance, but it's not normal dancing, it's not 'boy band' dancing. We sing, but we have such dynamic songs. We act, but we didn't come from a reality show. We come from a TV show that takes all day, every day to film, and we work our butts off on it," says Kendall. "We're proud of what we do, and if people want to compare that's fine, just as long as they buy both albums!"
Speaking of albums, Kendall also told Cambio about what we can expect to hear from BTR's third album: "I think we're going to try to keep it dynamic, but sort of have a more unified sound and try to be able to tie all the songs together," he says. "And just bangin' songs. Songs that get people moving, because our fans like to move."
Don't know about you, but we say let's stop over thinking things and just enjoy the music from all of these great bands.
