The Wanted's Nathan Sykes has spoken out against cyber bullying and urged fans to "unfollow" people who troll them on social networking sites. The 20 year old singer spoke from experience after receiving death treats, among other things, from people when some of his bandmates were feuding with some members of One Direction on Twitter. Nathan, of course, stayed out of that entire mess and didn't deserve any of the tweets he received. Here's what he had to say about cyber bullying this week.
"I'm in a position where I've seen hate from people who maybe don't like the band," Nathan revealed to The Metro this week. "When the One Direction argument, or whatever it was, was going on between a few of the boys, for no reason I was suddenly getting death threats and stuff off young girls and I was quite confused by that. I didn't know what I'd done, but then realized they associated me with the band."

"But the way they say things, the fact that people can hide behind a computer screen, they'd never say it to your face," he explained. "They have that power, almost of hiding behind a computer so they can be more expressive and a lot nastier."
"You can block these people, you can remove them from your timeline, you can unfollow them," he added. "You don't have to be 'friends' with these people and you can ignore them. That is the best way of dealing with it.
"Also, speak to your friends, keep on interacting with them as much as possible and you will feel a lot better."
Couldn't agree more! Listen to whatever band/artist you want and support who you want and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Take Nathan's advice and block/ignore them, there's no need for that kind of stuff in your life.
