Apologies for not having a recap of The Voice for Monday (May 20) night's performance show, but on Tuesday (May 21) night's results show, two more contestants were sent home narrowing the singers down to a total of eight.
It was an emotional night as the show started off with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert singing an acoustic version of "Over You" as a tribute to the families and victims of the devastating EF-5 tornado in Moore, OK. It was a very touching and chillworthy tribute.

The night of music and tributes continued with Shakira performing "Stand By Me" with her team. Team Blake then hit the stage for a performance of "Mountain Music" and then Josiah and Michelle were joined by their coach, Usher, for a performance of "The Look of Love." Lastly, Team Adam performed "I Got The Music In Me."
Let's get to the results of the night, which included some shockers. Here they are in the order they were revealed on the show:
Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake)
Judith Hill (Team Adam)
Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher)
Sasha Allen (Team Shakira)
Sarah Simmons (Team Adam)
Holly Tucker (Team Blake)
Amber Carrington (Team Adam)
The Swon Brothers (Team Blake)
This means that Team Usher's Josiah Hawley and Team Shakira's Kris Thomas were eliminated from the show. Leaving both Usher and Shakira with only one contestant each. What do you think? Were the right people sent home?
Continuing from my observation last week, the people who were sent home were asked a question by host Carson Daly. Josiah was the first to be asked a question rehearsing with Usher. Kris was the second singer asked a question, he was asked about what it was like to have support from a coach. They put in a twist this week though as Holly and The Swon Brothers were also asked questions but only directly before being saved by America's vote.
Now that this trend has somewhat continued for a second week in-a-row, it's safe to say they might do this by design since they cut the time so close at the end and don't allow the contestants to say goodbye. We'll see if it continues.
The top 8 will show what they got as the live playoff's continue next Monday at 8/7c on NBC.
