Episode 4 of The Wanted's reality show, The Wanted Life, aired on Sunday night (June 23) and it was easily one of the less dramatic episodes so far. In this episode Max wants to start an acting career and the boys fly to Washington DC to perform at The White House and meet First Lady Michelle Obama. Here's your recap of episode 4, "Obama Like A Pop Star."
This week's episode starts out with the boys in a meeting with Scooter Braun where he breaks the news that they’re performing at The White House for the Easter Egg Roll. The boys put on a show and over-celebrate because Nano had already told them before the meeting.

Then it’s off to rehearsal for the White House performance, the boys have to learn how to sing as a group of 4 and cover Nathan’s part because he's unable to sing. Nano stresses the importance of the event and says they have to be perfect.
Later, Max approaches Scooter about pressuring an acting career and talks about how he’s always been into movies and used to do auditions and it’s something he’s always wanted to do. Scooter agrees as long as The Wanted still comes first.
While at the house, Nano breaks the news to Jay that he wasn't on par at rehearsal and said that he’s set up an appointment for Jay to meet with a vocal coach to strengthen his voice. The ordeal left Jay embarrassed because he pulled him away from hanging out by the boys in the hot tub. Tom explains to Jay that they all need vocal coaches at some point and offers to come with him.
At the vocal coach session with “Mama Jan”, Jay and Tom do jumping jacks and uses some unusual techniques to help them get better. Jay tells the camera that the session helped him and now he feels more confident in his ability to sing at The White House. During the episode, Tom tweeted that he also enjoyed the vocal lesson and found it very useful. On the way to airport, it gets awkward when Jay talks about the vocal lesson and Nano is sitting right by him. Nano apologizes for the way he approached Jay but not for setting up the lesson.
In Washington DC, the boys watch the President and the First Lady give a speech prior to the Easter Egg Roll. Tom described it as the greatest day ever. Then the boys perform “All Time Low” for over 5,000 people and again poor Nathan is on stage and can’t sing, he compares it to being a marathon runner running with a broken ankle.
Then the boys get invited into The White House Library were Nano is frustrated and nervous and is giving the boys pointers on what to say and the boys tease him back. Michelle Obama walks in and says hello to the boys, giving them each a hug. She tells them how proud she is of them and even brings in the dog so the boys can meet him. She tells them to stay out of trouble before leaving.
The boys go back to Los Angeles and it’s time for Max’s audition that Scooter set up for him and he’s not very confident in his ability to pass the audition. The writers want him to do an American accent and they din't seem like they were impressed but when they had him talk normally, the writers seemed to like it a bit more. Max says he feels it went well after he got over the initial hump.
Anyone else agree that it was nice to see a less dramatic episode? This one didn't have a whole lot of fighting between members like the previous episodes did and overall was a pretty enjoyable episode.
