Episode 5 of The Wanted's reality show, The Wanted Life, aired on Sunday night (June 30) and it saw the return of the drama following last week's somewhat drama-less episode. In this episode Max's hardcore partying ways divides the band, especially making Siva and his girlfriend angry and the boys film their music video for "Walks Like Rihanna." Here's your recap of episode 5, "Crazy Like A Pop Star."
The episode starts out with Jay and Siva at a dance studio where Siva is getting dance lessons for The Wanted’s “Walks Like Rihanna” music video, which they filmed in this episode.
Max is having a party while Siva & his girlfriend, Nareesha, are trying to focus on designing a shoe up in their bedroom. They keep getting distracted because of the loud amounts of noise they’re all making downstairs. Nareesha tells Siva that something has to be done but says that Siva has to be the one that says something because it won’t sound right coming from her.
The next morning, Siva confronts Max about Nareesha's concerns. Max responds with “she doesn’t have to live her, we just agreed to it.” Even Tom takes a bit of offense to that comment. Nareesha comes down and joins in on the discussion as well. Nathan however takes Max’s side to an extent while both Tom and Jay kinda agree with Siva and Nareesha that it often gets too loud during parties. The whole situation ends with Max walking out of the room angrily.

The whole ordeal earlier didn’t work, because that night Max invited a ton of girls over to the house once again to party with him and to have sex with. One of the girls even goes into Siva & Nareesha's room and looks over them.
Siva and Nareesha brings it up the next morning to Max and the rest of the gang who are downstairs. Kelsey joins in on the convo and says that he needs to start looking more carefully at who he brings back to the house. Even Nathan agrees this time around and Max realizes he was wrong and realizes that he needs to start meeting them halfway and apologizes for the whole situation.
Tom takes Kelsey out for dinner that night and tells him how apperceive he is that she’s there and how it gives the group a different dynamic and gives her a nice piece of jewelry.
Then it’s time to shoot the music video for “Walks Like Rihanna” where we get a more behind the scenes look at the making of the video. Siva said that his dance lessons paid off and at the end of the day no matter how many arguments they may have, when it comes to work they manage to get along and get it done. Nathan was also excited to be part of the video, despite his voice, because artists lip-sing when they film music videos anyway so it didn’t require him to strain his voice at all.
For their 5th year anniversary, Siva blindfolds Nareesha and takes her to a romantic, candle light dinner in the back yard where Jay is acting as a waiter for the couple. Max even helps out by being the chef for the night in the kitchen.
The episode ends as the boys get to watch the final edit of the “Walks Like Rihanna” music video for the first time in full at Scooter Braun’s office. Siva was the only one that didn’t really like how it came together and said he felt that he didn’t get to be a huge part of the song and it’s disappointing for him because it’s a new direction for them.
What are your thoughts on episode 5? Were you happy to see the drama return?
