Although there's some major shake-up's happening on The X-Factor (USA) for season 3, season 2 was full of some pretty great talent. And although we continue to update you on a few of them here on Hit Zone, there's some we haven't mentioned since their departure from the show, so where are they now? Let's take a look at what the top 13 finalists from X-Factor season 2 are up to now.
13.) Jason Brock
Who can forget Jason Brock, the first contestant of the top 13 to be eliminated, who "did it for the gays and Japan." Life isn't all bad for Jason following his exit from The X-Factor. Besides the few occasional tweets about One Direction related ships (LOL), as of March 30 Jason now does a show on the weekends at Martuni’s Piano Bar in San Francisco. According to the San Francisco Examiner, his show, X in the City, "boasts comedy, R&B, jazz and pop tunes, including some originals."

12.) Lyric 145
This group was one of the more unique acts on the show last season and after they were eliminated they didn't give up. They continued releasing cover songs on their YouTube channel and SoundCloud. It was back in February though that they decided to release their first original called "I Get It." The song is pretty similar to all of their previous releases in terms of the high-energy they brought to each performance. Take a listen to the song below.
The group is currently getting ready to go on a summer tour, more on that with Jennel Garcia below. For more Lyric 145, follow them on Twitter: @Lyric145

11.) Jennel Garcia
Jennel was eliminated in week 3 of the show following a performance of "Proud Mary," which mentor Demi Lovato picked for her to sing despite Jennel fighting her a bit on it. So what's she up to now? Well, Jennel is currently prepping for a summer tour! She'll be joining Willie Jones along with fellow finalists Paige Thomas and Lyric 145 for The UnXpected Tour this summer. Dates haven't been released yet, but you can get the latest on the tour by heading to unexpectedtour.com.

10.) Arin Ray
Despite some pretty awesome performances, Arin was disappointingly eliminated in week 4 of the show. Since then he's remained pretty quiet but hasn't given up on music. He went back to school and is just about ready to graduate. "I promise more from me in the near future guys! Graduation is a big step! After that I'm all yours! Thanks For your Patience! #2days" he tweeted to his 120,000+ followers on May 13. From the looks of things, he's working on some music and I for one can't wait to hear it.

9.) Beatrice Miller
14 year old Beatrice Miller was eliminated in the double elimination Thanksgiving episode of X-Factor in week 4 of live shows. But after taking some time off, it was announced back in April that Beatrice became the first signing to a collaborative deal between Syco and Hollywood Records. It seems like she's busy trying to get her music out currently: "I woke up and thought about how grateful I am that you guys are sticking by me even though it's taking FOREVER to release music. I love you," she tweeted on May 17.

8.) Paige Thomas
Paige was eliminated from the show in week 5 of the live shows after surviving the bottom 3 in week 3. As mentioned above, Paige will join Lyric 145 and Jennel Garcia for The UneXpected Tour this summer. Back on March 12 though Paige released a new song to all of her fans called "Lolli." Well on the show she got many comparisons to Rihanna and her song has brought more as it sounds like a song Rihanna would sing.

7.) Vino Alan
Vino was proof that contestants are never safe and have to bring their a-game every week. After being in the top 3 of the leader-board during all previous weeks of the live shows, all it took was one not-so-great performance to knock Vino all the way down and cause him to be eliminated in week 5. But Vino has bounced back from that, his first single, "My Summer," is available now but will be released to all major internet retailers this Tuesday (May 21). The song is off his upcoming debut album, Planting Sunshine.

6.) CeCe Frey
CeCe was arguably one of the more hated singers on the show. She even said herself she "never expected to win" the show following the weeks of harsh criticism from the judging panel, Simon Cowell in particular, but she has some pretty loyal fans that stuck with her. On May 17, CeCe performed live for the first time since X-Factor at a show in Houston, TX.

5.) Diamond White
The mentors had such faith in Diamond White that even after she was eliminated in the week 1 live show, they decided to bring her back and give her a second chance. Good thing they did because she made it all the way to the top 5 of the show. However, it seems like life after the show hasn't been as kind, on May 13 she tweeted: "Ugh! Why us the music biz so frustrating!!!! Ok time for the big guns, im fed up. I WILL get music to you guys even if it kills me." Although she may be having a frustrating time in the industry, she has been uploading videos to YouTube, including a cover of a mash-up of Taylor Swift's songs "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Love Story."

4.) Emblem3
It seemed like the boys of Emblem3 were an automatic shoe-in for the finale, but anything can happen and it did when these boys were shockingly eliminated in week 7 after consistently beating fellow group Fifth Harmony on the leader-board in previous weeks. But out of all the acts on this season, to me anyway, it seems like these guys are making the most impact in the pop music world. Their single "Chloe (You're The One I Want)" is already getting airplay on some of the biggest radio stations in the United States and the boys are part of the line-up for some pretty big radio station concerts this spring. The boys are signed with Syco/Columbia Records and their debut album is due out later this year.

3.) Fifth Harmony
Nobody except the loyal Fifth Harmony fans expected these girls to make the finale show (let's be real, not even Simon Cowell thought they would go to the finale). But they proved they deserved to be there because they really stepped it up when it matter the most, especially after their performance of "Anything Can Happen." Currently the girls seem to be doing well, they were signed by Syco/Epic Records back in January which means not only will they be working with Simon Cowell but also LA Reid. The girls have also been busy uploading a lot of videos for their fans, most recently they shared a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" with Boyce Avenue.

2.) Carly Rose Sonenclar
Who can forget the extremely talented now 14 year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar? She blew audiences of all ages away with her performances each and every week as she battled it out with Tate Stevens for the top spot on the leader-board every week. She's been busy performing at a few concerts, her next two shows are June 29 and June 30 in Rye, NY and Freehold, NJ respectively. Carly is also giving back to the community as an ambassador to the Starlight Children's Foundation of NY/NJ/CT. In short, the Starlight Children's Foundation improves the quality of life for children around the globe by providing entertainment that help them cope. In April she announced that she's hard at work on her debut album.

1.) Tate Stevens
Let's be honest, last season came down to either Carly Rose or Tate and the country fans apparently beat out the younger fans as country singer Tate Stevens won the show after coming in first place 3 out of the 5 weeks the leader-board rankings were revealed. Upon winning the show Tate landed a $5 million recording contract with Syco and RCA Records Nashville. As part of the deal for winning, his debut single, "Holler If You're With Me," was used in a Pepsi commercial during the 2013 Grammy Awards back in February. His self-titled debut album was released on April 23, 2013 and peaked at #18 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the country charts, selling 17,000 copies in its first week.
