After winning the third season of The Voice, things have been pretty crazy for Cassadee Pope as she makes her move into country music. And it turns out she's documenting her entire journey in a new docu-series set to air on CMT.
"I am doing a docu-series. It’s less dramatic than a reality show, and it’s gonna be on CMT around September," she explained to country station The New 103.7 in Charlotte. "I want to show the fans the nitty gritty of [making music]."
The show will follow her journey from winning The Voice to months of recording & radio tours, and her debut as opening act on Rascal Flatts' Live & Loud Tour this summer. The transition to country hasn't been all easy though because she used to be in the pop-punk music world in the band Hey Monday, but Cassadee says The Voice helped her prove a lot of people wrong.

"People are a little hesitant," Cassadee says of her transition to country, "but for the most part I think, on the show, I proved to a lot of people that as long as you’re real, you’re genuine and you’re singing songs you connect with, then no matter what genre people will embrace you."
Cassadee's single, "Wasting All These Tears," will be released on June 4. She will also be premiering the song that night on The Voice.
