I think we're all learning I'm horrible when it comes to producing weekly segments...or maybe it's just because there's not much to talk about - let's go with the second one.
This week was different, we had a balcony fire at Liam Payne's place that injured three people and then there Demi Lovato speaking out against 'twerking'. Also in this week's breakdown I'm giving you a preview something big that's happening here at Hit Zone in the next few weeks.

Demi Lovato Speaks Out Against 'Twerking'
I'm so beyond sick of hearing about twerking. And I'm not alone. Big thanks to Demi Lovato this week for tweeting "Can the world stop talking about twerking please?" And after a bunch of idiotic people saw that as a slam on Miley Cyrus, she said "Btw – no shade thrown.. Don’t even try to start that crap. Haha… the term twerking just needs to disappear like the word swag does too."
Twerking has been around for quite some time but it's so insanely over rated and I for one am sick of hearing about it. I'm with Demi on this one, can everyone just stop encouraging this please? It's rather annoying. And well we're at it can we all tell Miley Cyrus that she's trying entirely way to hard to be edgy?

Liam Payne Saves Andy Samuels After Fire Breaks Out on Liam's Balcony
There's really not much to say about this but I had to mention it anyway. This was probably one of the most serious stories I've covered on Hit Zone and it ended up being among the most popular - all 3 stories on the blaze this week made the top 5 most viewed posts. But when I first read this story, I couldn't believe it was actually real and then I found out it was Andy who was most seriously hurt and I was left in even further disbelief. But the good news is, Andy is gonna be completely fine - he even tweeted today for the first time since the incident. I just have to say though how proud I am to be a supporter of Liam, the way he just jumped into action to help save Andy's life is impressive and brave. What really kinda got me though was the fact that in This Is Us, Liam said that if the whole music thing didn't work out, he wanted to be a firefighter because he "liked the idea of saving lives" and now he just saved his best friend's life. Amazing.
Hoping for a speedy recovery for Andy!

New Hit Zone Website Coming Soon!
And finally I just wanted to give you a bit of a teaser, this week I started the process of putting together a brand new HitZoneOnline.com! The new website will be on a new platform and should launch later this month and will be completely different from what you see now. The site will have a new look and will be easier to use across all platforms. I'll let you know when the new website launches, but don't be shocked if there's some downtime in the moving process. I'm so excited for this transition and I really hope you will all love it as much as I do. |
That's it for this week. Thanks for reading and thanks for visiting Hit Zone this week! Spread the word and tell a friend about us!
