First stop was Kansas City, MO, where we learn Simon Cowell fell ill and sent his good friend Louie Walsh in to temporarily judge in his place. It's also where we meet Rizzloe Jones, a freestyle rapper who blew everyone away with his quick & sick rhyming skills. Like, he was able to spit rhymes about MARSHMALLOWS. Now that's what I call talent.
Next up was CECE Frey, a confident contestant, to say the least. She claimed to be more talented than everyone backstage, but had issues when singing her audition song. Originally she sang "Unchained Melody", then switched to X-tina's "Ain't No Other Man". The second song fed more into what the judges were looking for and she walked away with three yeses.
Thirty-nine year old musician for the troops Vino Alan's audition was shown next. His performance of "Trouble" almost left me in tears. He was that good.
On the X-Factor there's always that one person we remember because of their heinous audition. (Remember last year's pants drop guy? Yeah.) Something tells me Deangelo Wallace is taking the crown this year for "Most Outrageous Audition". Not only did he butcher Chris Brown's "With You," but he claimed to be better than Britney & wasn't particularly nice to Demi Lovato. The judges had to leave during his audition (yeah...I would have too.) But that's not even all! Wallace thought that since he didn't make it, he'd steal the microphone he used! The mic (worth about $3000) was returned, and Deangelo was arrested, but released hours later. Woah.
After that...interesting audition, we see Tate Stevens and his performance of "Anything Goes". Not only was he a crazy talented country singer, but he was full of personality.
Next stop-San Francisco, where boyband Citizen auditioned for their shot at a five million dollar recording contract. They reminded me of N*SYNC, so I obviously I loved their rendition of En Vogue's "Don't Let Go". Simon wasn't feeling it, but the other three judges were.
Diamond White wraps up the San Francisco auditions with her powerful rendition of "This is a Man's Man's Man's World". Not only was she adorable, but the 13 year old had soul.
Heading south, we see the X Factor auditions in Austin, TX. There, 19 year old Ally Brooke took the stage and sang "On My Knees," winning hearts and the judges' votes. Charismatic Panda Ross' audition was next. She took the song "Bring it on Home" and made it her own. She was fantastic. Unfortunately she was soon after escorted out of the building by ambulance after her audition, due to pneumonia.
